What to consider when you have ordered home delivery of the sliding door systems
We are pleased that you have chosen us.
Either the dealer or we will contact you by telephone of the delivery date. Delivery is always daytime. It is important that you are at home and receiving the goods and is helpful if the driver asks you.
It is important to us at SPM you will be satisfied with your delivery. We would therefore ask that you help to try to discover any shipping damage, and ask that you be a little extra attention to the following when the doors are delivered. Do not write on the consignment note / receipt form without checking the following;
- Make sure that you received everything that is on the waybill.
- Also check the packaging is intact. If you find that the packaging is damaged or otherwise, make a note on the consignment note when you write on the receipt form (there is a special number for that which you write your signature).
- If possible, open the package and check that the doors are unharmed while the driver looks on. Particular importance is to check the glass and mirror doors.
- Photograph of something like delivery appears to be damaged.
Damage in transit that are not quoted on the consignment note does not replace the transport company, it is therefore very important to write even possible damage to the packaging of the consignment note. However, if you discover damage after the driver has gone you need to save the packing (even damaged packaging). This is important, so that we can quickly help you if something has gone wrong.
